A Meeting of the Minds

Are you tired of the same old conference food, parties, and speakers that don’t acknowledge you or the agenda topics? Then, Search and Social® Hawaii is the event for you.

The Search and Social® Hawaii! Conference provides the innovative strategies and how-to techniques for thriving in this ever-changing environment. Our agenda includes discussions and debates around the hottest topics that are chosen by our attendees.

At EmMeCon we think outside the box-and so will you!

At Search and Social® Hawaii! we have found that not only do our speakers provide brilliant ideas, techniques, and strategies around search marketing and social media marketing, but so do our close knit group of attendees. We believe that everyone is an expert in some way, and therefore we allow each and every one of our attendees a chance to share their knowledge with the rest. Everyone is a speaker, and everyone is an attendee – it’s that simple.

This EmMeCon conference is an experience that you won’t want to miss.

At broad-and-shallow conferences there are endless mediocre talks that dilute your network time. Wappow’s approach is completely opposite. They seem to bend time and give you more collaboration time, and even time for reflection and working on your own content, by reducing the total number of talks but elevating them to international excellence. They do this by choosing speakers who are out in front of the trends, or who work at fascinating intersections like SEO and social. The net result is that all year, I’ve leveraged what I learned there but also continued meetups with folks with whom I made far more than a passing acquaintance. The result has been marketing, revenue, and branding opportunities I never would have had otherwise.David Evans Ph.D.

Who speaks?

Simply put – everyone speaks
At each and every one of our past Search and Social Hawaii events we have found that everyone participates either standing in front of the group and presenting; or by providing valuable opinions, strategies, or information during our many open discussions. As a result, we have set up the event as a “meeting of the minds” allowing everyone a chance to participate in some way.

While registering for the event, you will be asked a few questions that will help us decide which topics to cover during the event, who will present a 20 minute inspirational mini-keynote, who will present solid case studies, and who will participate in an open forum discussion with the room. So whether you love to speak in front of an audience and share all of your incredible knowledge, or if you just like to hang back and learn, we ensure that you will be supported and placed within our agenda in a way that you feel most comfortable.

Engaging Activities

Tuesday is full of networking activities with a mix of attendees and speakers organized so that you all get to know each other even better. Activities range from Snorkeling (for beginner to advanced), Golfing, Kayaking, Hiking, and Kauai’s famous Inner Tubing (riding the aqueducts from the top of the mountain through the rain forest). Of course our Full Pass and VIP Pass holders get their choice of activities included, and so do their companions.

Luau and Dinner Cruise

In traditional Hawaiian fashion all attendees and speakers are invited to join us to the Luau at the ever popular Plantation. In addition to the amazing traditional Hawaiian buffet the show alone, complete with fire breathing, flame throwing, and exotic dancing, will blow you away. Afterwards get your picture taken with the performers. EmMeCon blocks enough room for all attendees planning on joining us – Full Pass holders, VIP Pass holders, and Companion Pass holders all get a chance to join us since it is included.

The Dinner Cruise is offered to a limited number of attendees and is another one of our more popular activities. We will be boarding the largest Catamaran on the Kauai Island and heading up the coastline viewing double rainbows and beaches not easily accessible and topping off the trip to enjoy a gourmet meal at the north coast of the Island. The boat only has room for 25 people total and space fills up months before the event, so be sure to commit today while you are registering.
