Megan Berry is a Marketing Manager for Klout and she kicked off the 2011 Emerging Media Conference with a great presentation about social influence. She talks about the importance of influence in helping get ideas and products off the ground and running. The more social influence that an individual can supply, the larger that sphere of influence grows. But it’s not as simple as having the most Twitter followers or getting plenty of hits on a Facebook fan page. She explains how Klout can search and find the most relevant and beneficial subjects of influence that can help propel any product that is seeking a customer base.
