We were joined at the 2011 Emerging Media Conference by Steven Woods the CTO and Founder of Eloqua (recently acquired by Oracle) a leading company for marketing automation and demand generation. His talk covered the various ways that social marketing and product purchasing will be dependent on being able to read the digital body language that users and consumers show through their research and queries. In the coming years there will be a glut of opportunities to seek new customers whether through paid search or personally generated promotion and Steven speaks of the importance of thinking like a consumer when trying to attract them. His book “Digital Body Language” covers in depth the various ways to interpret customer intentions online.
